Weekend...windy...again...zzzz... With a solid forecast calling for cross-shore + big swell combined with a 3pm low tide hopes were high for a good session. What we got were conditions that were a bit too full on to allow a real cracker, but a decent sail was scored nevertheless.

I launched further downwind than usual at Beach Green with Richard after having been informed several times previously by him that the waves were always better there. Started off underpowered on the 4.5 until a howling squall passed over. Once it had gone the wind settled down to only-slightly-mental, leaving me absolutely stacked but reasonably in control. The survival conditions limited manouvering but airtime was un-avoidable and I did score a couple of decent frontside turns on the meaty waves that were pushing in.

Survival sailing is never all that satisfying and it was uncomfortably cold at times today as well, but the session did just about enough for me to earn 4 stars.
